- Clean Eating: Clean eating is very new to us. We began the transition in December 2012, and we are still transitioning as we start the new year. Our research began with www.thegraciouspantry.com, and continues with many of the blogs on My Blog List. Much of our year of living well is about incorporating clean eating in our lives. For more on our clean eating journey, visit that page on this blog.
- Exercise: This facet of living well is by far easier for my husband than me. He is one of those people that loves to exercise - it is fun for him. I am one of those people who sees exercise as a necessary evil - OK, maybe evil is overstating it, but it is definitely not fun for me. However, we all know that exercise is essential to being healthy, and I think it is really difficult to define living well without a health component. It is our goal in 2013 to have exercise become a regular component of our lives - a good habit that we develop that becomes second nature.
- Relationships: We believe relationships are a part of living well because they enrich our lives. Relationships teach us; they provide opportunities for growth; they offer comfort, support and encouragement. In this next year, we are focused on our relationship with God, family, and friends. We are working to have daily time with God, be better about staying in touch with family (who all live on other parts of the country), and spend more time enjoying our friends in Nashville.
- Live, Laugh, Love: We want to enjoy our lives to the fullest, and, admittedly, we have not always done this. This part of living well pulls it all together for us - it encompasses everything listed above. This means much less time on the couch or behind a desk and much more time accomplishing goals, enjoying each other, laughing more, and having amazing life experiences.
